Traveling, Teaching, and Technology

A learning outcome I find while traveling is to see what other societies have deemed as an economic priority, both geographically and over time. For example, net-zero as defined by the Paris agreement and Glasgow Climate Pact is a seemingly higher priority in Europe than in the U.S. Priorities are exhibited through lifestyle choices such as gigantic bike garages and dedicated bike lanes in the Netherlands. Hundreds of human-powered cyclists are a site to see, but not necessarily safe for the inexperienced pedestrian.
